I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to understand this subject better. As someone who has friends and relatives who are gay, I was concerned about what "Christians" say about homosexuality. So I read the Bible through, cover to cover. To me it was very clear, and repeated often, that the Bible considers homosexual activity a sin. This only increased my concern for my loved ones' life choices.Next, I discussed this with my pro-gay minister, and asked him to show me in the Bible where homosexuality is not condemned. He gave me four books to read on the subject. The authors were impressive (but biased) and the theology and writing creative. The writers claimed that the Bible was repeatedly misinterpreted, or just plain wrong.I wasn't convinced so I ordered The Gay Gospel and it helped me understand homosexuals better, and confirmed my own research that according to the Bible homosexuality is a sin -- no worse or better than others we struggle with -- and we need to help those struggling with this sin, or any other sin, as we are able.
